Corporate Blogging Done Right
Get Your Blog & SEO In Order Before Pay Per Click

How can I tell if my SEO and blog are in order? I will tell you for free. Just request a Website review at the bottom of the page. Also, ask for a free email campaign analysis below while you are at it.

A while back I wrote an article called "Automated Keyphrase Generation Pumps" in which I explained the benefit of a highly active community with many authors commenting on things and a properly "Spider Safed" Website-blog combination is a strategy that has worked quite well got myself and others in my business network. Well, it still is the case. Following is a list of necessary items for a successful blogging strategy.

1) Regularly pushing your search optimized content out to the Web through RSS and other means.

2) Regularly pulling pertinent content that is synergistic with your own content, AS WELL AS search optimized!

3) Coordinating these two things with a budget for this so that it never stops.

If you do not have the budget, or want the issues involved with hiring an author to write for the blog, DO NOT hire a one hit wonder-writer to come in and write a half dozen articles and then forget about it. If the search engines, especially Google, don't see growth, they assume death. If your site-blog are not growing in traffic and content, then the search engine thinks it is going out of business.

It is a similar effect to that of being in the Yellow Pages then pulling the ad. It does not matter why you pulled your ad! It always gives the appearance that you are packing it up and who wants to send that message? One of the key issues is merging all your content in such as a way that you get credit for some of the phrases in the engines. Lastly, you need to leverage your content as carefully as possible as to not offend the search engines, but also so that real people readers aren't turned off by the content.

So to get started, you need a solid blog system that is search optimized, keyphrase research to ensure you are going after the right set of phrases, a regular dedicated author for new content daily, legitimate fed in content to supplement your own and a budget of under $1,000 a month. This will be enough to have a highly successful blogging strategy that will greatly impact your traffic and ROI through your Website.

This should be goal number one in your budget before a huge pay per click budget since the best investment first is for you to own your own keywords in the natural search, then to increase the budget to pay for the pay per click ads. Don't put the cart before the horse with a full pay per click budget before you own as many phrases as possible in the search engines. That is backward and if you have an "SEO" firm that has told you to do that, then you should fire them and start over.
